2025 Thanks Giving Message from the Founder: Lucia S. Kujjo

South Sudanese Indie Authors Network Association (SSIAN) – Thanksgiving Message of Gratitude

This Thanksgiving, the South Sudanese Indie Authors Network Association (SSIAN) extends our heartfelt gratitude to all who continue to walk with us in our journey of storytelling, culture, and community empowerment.

To Our Volunteers – thank you for your tireless dedication, passion, and belief in the power of words and community. Your efforts make every project possible.

To the City of Edmonton – we are deeply grateful for the Microgrant that supported Metaphora: A Poetry Odyssey – A Celebration of Stories, Identity, and Resistance Through Poetry. Your investment in creativity and culture allows voices to rise and stories to be heard.

To the Government of Alberta – Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Grant Program (MAR Program) – thank you for supporting Cultural Rhythms of Unity: Amplifying Black Voices through Arts, Heritage, and Inclusion. Your support empowers us to celebrate diversity, embrace heritage, and amplify the voices that shape our collective future.

To Kids Up Front and the South Sudanese Community – we are thankful for your partnership, collaboration, and shared commitment to uplifting children, families, and communities through arts and culture.

This season, we give thanks for the partnerships, communities, and individuals who continue to nurture the arts, uplift diverse voices, and create spaces of belonging and inclusion.

With gratitude and hope,

Executive Director
